It’s 2021 and I’m writing my first blog of the year on something this is quite old fashioned – my makeup vanity. Do you have one in your home? I do, and I adore it! It is my sanctuary where I apply my makeup, read books and zone out. Since I am the only female in my house it is a mystical space that no men dare to touch.

Vanities are sometimes considered as luxury items but they can also be an affordable interior design item with a little pre-planning.

The vanity above is a great example of an inexpensive vanity. This is a small desk painted white with coordinating wall mirror and stool. I love the Shabby Chic style of the white contrasting with the brown wall color and pink accents.

If your style is more Contemporary, take a look at this floating vanity. The medium wood stain on the cabinetry is great and the white subway tiles create the ultimate streamlined vanity.

Along the same lines, this Asian bathroom vanity has a wonderful built-in mirror with lights, storage drawers and electrical outlet.

And lastly who wouldn’t love a Traditional and all white Glam style vanity with mirrored drawer fronts and elegant wall sconces. Call me if you want to explore a vanity in your own home.
